Opposition parties protest in Bayelsa

YENAGOA - OPPOSITION parties in Bayelsa State, yesterday, protested at the INEC office over what they described as the multiple electoral frauds in the Saturday National Assembly polls.
The protesting opposition parties’ chieftains dared the state special security outfit Operation Famou Tangbe and marched to the legal department of the commission where they registered their grievances before the officer in charge.
Aside calling for the cancellation of the polls over the alleged noticeable irregularities that characterized the exercise in Southern Ijaw,Ekeremor and most parts of Sagbama, among others they also called on INEC chairman, Prof Attahiru Jega, to redeploy the state Resident Electoral Commissioner, Engr. Edwin Nwatalari for allegedly colluding with the ruling party to rig the polls.
